I have been back on the smoothie train lately. There is something so refreshing about a post workout smoothie or a smoothie first thing in the morning to get things going. It can help curb cravings, help build muscle and be a great way to get nutrients. Not to mention, all the wonderful effects is have on your hair & skin!

So here are some great recipes to get your Summer mood roaring & ready Babes!!!

1. “Cool As A Cucumber”

  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1/4 cucumber
  • 2 cups coconut water
  • 1/2 mango
  • 1 cup kale
  • 4 mint leaves

Add ice, blend & enjoy! This one is so refreshing and just has me excited to be sitting poolside on a hot day. Makes about two smoothies. *This can also double as a fresh, cookout cocktail with a little clear rum!

2. The Funky Banana”

  • 1 Banana
  • 2 tbsp nut butter (be mindful of ingredients)
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

This is my go to dessert drink! It’s creamy & the perfect substitute for a milkshake. I feel so satisfied after having this.

My sweet tooth is cured and definitely helps with my snack attacks. It’s also great for breakfast! Or an afternoon pick me up. * Add vanilla or chocolate protein powder for an even more filling smoothie

This works as a good meal replacement in the morning or for when you’re just drained from dieting! I like this to get healthy fats when I’m feeling low!

3. “The Miracle Worker”

  • 1tsp Spirulina
  • 1/4 dragon fruit
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 2 cups coconut water
  • 1 cup frozen acai+guarana
  • 1/4 cup coconut flakes, fresh or packaged
  • 1 cup kale

I was inspired to make this during my new fitness challenge I am trying! The Tone It Up Bikini Series is no joke and I’m loving it! Head to ToneItUp.com if you want to join.

This smoothie is on the more exotic side but it so yummy!!! I was worn out after a week of clean eating & working hard to build strength. I really needed some energy! So I came up with this superstar smoothie!

I got all the ingredients at a local grocery store, so don’t shy away from this one. Spirulina is amazing for you & has fantastic benefits for energy. This drink perked me right up and had me feeling great.

I found some of the ingredients in the frozen fruit section but the fresh, juicy dragon fruit was amazing. I also used the fresh coconut flakes I had on hand from another recipe I am working on.

*You can always add ice to any of these smoothies…especially if using fresh ingredients instead of frozen, so it’s nice and cold!

*Protien powder is important in smoothies if using as meal replacement or to replenish energy! I use vanilla in any of these smoothies if I need that boost.

I hope you all enjoy! I will keep cooking up some fresh concoctions for you Loves! So stay tuned for more! Xoxo
